Aquaman's Lab
Aquamans Lab is a sonic/audio experiment fusing genres of, funk, hip hop, house, breakbeat, jazz, reggae and beyond. Inspired by the choons in Swami’s eclectic record collection and travels.
Founding member Swami Adima has been defining and refining the organic existence of the "Lab", best described as a "Musicians Collective", its evolved and morphed over its 8 year history. Beginning primarily as a studio recording project with many of Swami's close musical friends (28 on the first self titled album), it has now switched focus to the live arena, working on dynamic, soulful and diverse live sets incorporating a "Core" band which consists of:
Swami Adima: Drum kit, percussion and programming
John (Sound) Strickland: Keys
Kavi Gable: Guitar
Brice Taylor: Bass
Lyndall Ward: Vox
and often guest Percussionist Alex Koresis.
